so manyd adsLOVEThis show is such a ray of light! I discovered it during the panorama, like so many others, and have been blowing through the episodes. Not only are the interviews insightful and funny, there is just something about Chris’s voice that is SO calming. Lots of love! Can’t wait to hear the next episode.

jamcd99Listen, Learn and laughI am so grateful that I found this podcast. It is full of interesting queer guests and their allies. I have learned so much from listening. Chris and his guest always have great chemistry; their banter is hilarious. Chris is an expert interviewer asking fun, insightful and at times challenging questions of his guests. I always come away more knowledgeable about queer culture, but most importantly I laugh a lot! Oh and thank you for all the book recommendations, Chris. I have read All The Young Men by your guest Ruth Coker Burks, The Queer Bible by your guest, Jack Guinness and now I have to go get Torrey Peters book, Detransition Baby. Your making me break the bank! Cheers, and looking forward to many, many more episodes. Thank you for the good time! Jim from NYC

HSBinTXLaugh & LearnJust recently found Homo Sapiens. Love listening to the stories and insight of the guests and hosts Chris & Alan. Looking forward to going back to listen to older episodes. Only wish there was a way to see the vidio for some of them.

riribexStephen FryDeep diving into the HS archives. I cannot believe Alan’s first episode co-hosting was with Stephen Fry as a guest! Wow. Well done all!

s -she/herMy weekly, queer communionI love listening to this podcast Saturday mornings (it comes out during the week) with my tea on my balcony. Chris and Alan are incredibly charming. The conversation is thought provoking, but not too heavy for a relaxing morning... the perfect balance! I highly recommend it. This podcast has been such a blessing, especially at the start of the pandemic when we were all so isolated and they were offering communion. Chris and Alan were a ray of sun during those scary and lonely early days and continue to be

Burned By AdobeBeing HumanAs someone who is in the ambiguous Plus of LGBTQ+, I’m enjoying this podcast because of its saturation not just in being queer, but in being honestly and openly human. Keep it coming!

Brooklyn BeamMore than just a podcastThe pandemic has upended many aspects of life. For me, it’s brought a new found appreciation for podcasts. Imagine my joy in discovering this wonderful weekly break from the stresses of modern living. Thoughtful guests. Important topics. Warm humor. Thank you for putting yourselves out there!

WhatsonmymindAlan’s Pierced nipples! For those who don’t use Apple you can still go to the app to rate and review. It’s takes about five minutes max which is a small “price” to pay for the time and energy the hosts out into each episode. It’s these reviews that push the podcast up the charts and get the word out. Let’s give them a giant push because they deserve to float to the top. Love it!

Ingrid RocketPerfect listening for country roadsBeing alone during COVID is hard. Being alone AND moving cross-country during COVID? Doubly so. I was lucky to stumble across this engaging podcast a few weeks ago when boxing up all my belongings as I prepared to move to Berkeley, CA. Listening to Alan and Chris’s engaging interviews helped get me through a few hours of packing (thank you for helping me mail 25 boxes!). Their conversations range from serious to hilarious - all making you feel that you’re just hanging out with them and their guest of the week. On Friday, I caught myself re-listening to that very first episode with Stephen Fry as I was flying over the Rockies. Truly, the first listen is great, but second-time is even better! Thanks for asking the hard (and the fun) questions and providing all of us with some company!

Fidelio124Great Uplifting “Listening”Thanks Chris and Alan for your humorous, candid and sometimes wildly “off piste” insights. Really enjoy your dulcet tones as I go walking through the gardens and suburbs of Singapore every day....my only piece of humble advice is that Alan should “shut-the-front-door’ and stop interrupting Chris ALL the time. It gets bloody annoying....😊 There is certainly plenty of room for 2 bright stars on your podster podium. Cheers MB

amnesiac.ieLGBTQ+ Podcast PerfectionHomo Sapiens, presented by Chris Sweeney (and my teenage crush) Will Young is an unmissable podcast. I’m shocked I was unaware of it until discovering season 3 a couple of weeks ago and it did not take me long to binge all previous episodes. Their mix of LGBTQ+ analysis, interviews and witty banter is both informative, inspiring and incredibly entertaining. Chris and Will’s authenticity really makes this podcast stand out amongst in a crowded field. Having lived in the US for six years I now realize I had forgotten how much I miss British/Irish LGBTQ+ culture until coming across this podcast. Keep up the great work guys. You now have one more regular listener across the pond and I am encouraging my friends all over the world to discover Homo Sapiens.

Lagunazen27British PerfectionEvery moment, perfect. Love the banter, the comfortable flow of the editing and both men are a genuine delight to listen to. I’ve recommend this to every friend I have. Season 3 please!

MTown1024Hello from California!Loving your podcast from all the way in sunny California! The perfect mix of funny and informative, you two play off of each other so well. I’ve been a fan of Will’s music for a long time but it’s nice to learn this other side of him. Always look forward to new eps, keep up the great work boys! PS love those Homo Sapiens t-shirts. *Hint hint* 😉😘

TaraLynn1203Phenomenal!I found this podcast because I saw Alan Cumming’s post about it and I am so glad he did! Everything about this podcast is great — the “feel” of it (it feels laid back and home-y), the topics covered, and the guys’ willingness to read both positive and negative reviews. I’m currently working my way through all of the old episodes and I love every one. I’ve always been an LGBTQ+ ally, but I’ve only recently begun to acknowledge and accept my own bisexuality and this podcast is really helping me do that. It’s also really nice to come home after a long day, kick back, and listen to an episode that makes me feel like I’m with friends. I can’t recommend this podcast enough! -Tara S

TokimoGreat funAs you point out and exemplify so well, your podcast is for everyone - even old, straight guys like me. Insightful entertaining and informative. Of interest for anyone who cares about more than the inescapably narrow vision we all have of the world. And you guys are fun to spend time with. Well done.

NancyInNYA TriumphAs new comer to the podcast world, I approached this series with the same level of dubious curiosity that I always have. Little did I know that I would go on to spend the following three days making my way through the entire series. I am absolutely distraught at the fact that I don't have a backlog of episodes to join me through the coming week. In my efforts to find something similar to fill in the time between episodes I found absolutely nothing that covered topics in such a charming, conversational manner. Will and Chris breach topics that really haven't had much of a spotlight in the past and maintain an honest, frank and open discussion around each subject. The humour that they bring to each conversation is a real treat, and you can really feel the dynamic between them and their guests. As an ex-Londoner living in New York, listening to Homo Sapiens is like a little holiday back to the city that I spent my formative years in. Hugh

osborneiiTwo hot BritsLove these two gentlemen of the British order. It feels like I'm hanging with friends when I tune in to these lovely guys. Excellent interviews and lovely, cheeky banter. Thank you Will and Chris :)

Aksimpson6Hilarious- definitely for everyone!I love this podcast! It's funny and light while covering serious and interesting topics. As a straight woman living in Texas this still speaks to me even though I am not a member of the LGBT community (but a proud supporter) because ultimately this podcast is about the human condition. The people you interview are incredible! But my favorite part is definitely your witty banter. Huge fan!
-
Jwubs2Clever, Entertaining, and FrankLoving this podcast - I didn't know these two before, but their banter is a pleasure to listen to and I'm quickly becoming a fan. I also love how they're not squeamish about touching on serious topics (though they are at their best, I think, when exuding cleverness and humor).

TomHenryCHomo SapiensThis is a fantastic podcast. I started listening, as I needed a diversion from all the news / podcasts. It has become one of my favorites. Chris and Will are great hosts and do really great interviews with people that were not on my radar. They have fun with the podcast, and always come away inspired. What really shows is their humanity. Thanks Chris and Will!

jgracedavisBrilliant. It's strangely like Gogglebox without the telly. I absolutely love it. It's my favourite podcast.

bmcritic87Both relevant and hilarious at the same timeWill and Chris combine both hilarious anecdotes and witty retorts, while covering things that actually matter in the LGBTQ community. Keep it up boys!
